MV-22s in Okinawa are flying again

U.S. Marine Corps has allowed the MV-22s deployed to Japan to resume flying. The tiltrotors were grounded after one ditched off the coast of Okinawa Dec. 13.

“We have conducted a thorough, careful and exhaustive review of MV-22 aviation safety procedures and briefed Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials,” said U.S. Forces, Japan Commander Lt. Gen. Jerry P. Martinez.
