Times of India reports that New Delhi and Hanoi are discussing over the sale of India’s indigenous Akash air defense missile system to Vietnam.

The news report noted that Vietnam has shown “deep interest” in the acquisition of Akash and is seeking the transfer of technology as well.
Anonymous sources said India is more keen to sell the system off-the-shelve before moving towards technology transfer and joint production.
