Super Hornet returns to active-duty; 7 years after suffering in-flight fire

The U.S. Navy has managed to return a fire-damaged Super Hornet back to the fleet for the first time.

The aircraft has an in-flight engine fire in August 2009 and it took the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) about 11,000 manhours over seven years to make it serviceable again.
