Nirbhay’s wings failed to deploy properly during last flight test

Mathrubhumi reports that during the last flight test of India’s Nirbhay cruise missile, the wings were stuck at 60 degrees position for about 1.5 seconds into the flight. This cause the missile to roll rapidly and overwhelmed the Inertial Navigation System (INS).

Testers had no choice but to terminate the flight as the cruise missile veered off from its intended flight path.
