Taiwan plans to roll out advanced jet trainer in September 2019

According to this report from China Times, Taiwan’s military has set the timeline for its indigenous advanced jet trainer program.

Design of the jet is to be completed by the first half of this year. Roll out of the prototype is suppose to occur in September 2019. First flight should take place in June 2020 and initial production will occur one year later after that.

State-owned Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) is currently recruiting more engineers in order to rush out the blueprints by the dateline. Approximately 300 engineers will be involve in the project.
