Boeing’s SHARC going airborne

Seapower reports that Boeing intends to fit a parachute kit to its SHARC (Sensor-Hosting Remote Autonomous Craft) unmanned surface vehicle.

Boeing announced that it is acquiring SHARC’s developer Liquid Robotics last month.

The autonomous vehicle is capable of towing underwater sensors and sensor arrays. Capable of operating for up to a year, the SHARC is ideal for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare missions.
