South Korea and the United States will be engaging in the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle exercises next month and this time, both sides will practice carrying out pre-emptive strikes.
Both sides will be applying the 4D strategy – detect, defense, disrupt and destroy – to target North Korea’s nuclear and missile facilities when an attack is imminent.
A command post exercise to simulate the intercept of a North Korean missile using a THAAD battery could be featured as well.
