Luftwaffe has only one serviceable A400M, out of eight

The German Air Force revealed that seven out of its eight A400M transport planes are unable to fly. Days after Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen was forced to switch aircraft in Lithuania.

von der Leyen’s A400M had an engine oil leak before its departure from the Baltic.

It was disclosed that three A400Ms have broken down, two are undergoing scheduled maintenance while one more is having a retrofit. The seventh has just been delivered and is having it acceptance trials.
