Speaking to Jane’s on Mar. 9, the Portuguese Ministry of National Defence (MoND) said the Embraer KC-390 is being considered as adequate to progressively replace the country’s C-130.
The plan is to buy up to six aircraft but there are no firm plan currently to place an order.
