South Korea, U.S. to create joint air defense command

In an overhaul of South Korea’s air defense strategy, Seoul has decided to form a joint air defense missile command with the United States.

An anonymous official told KBS that three South Korean units will merge with a U.S. Army air defense brigade.

South Korea’s indigenous M-SAM medium range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system will be placed under this joint command.
