U.S. Army to station Gray Eagle company permanently in South Korea

The U.S. State Department has confirmed that a U.S. Army Gray Eagle unmanned aerial vehicle company will be deployed permanently at kunsan Air Base in South Korea.

“These are very clearly defensive measures that we’re taking in response to an increasingly worrying, concerning threat from North Korea. China understands that threat. They’re not oblivious to what’s happening in North Korea with, again, the pace of the testing that’s been going on over the past six months,” State Department acting spokesman Mark Toner told reporters.

U.S. Forces Korea said in a press release that the company will be assigned to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade of the 2nd Infantry Division.
