Duterte question why U.S. did not dispatch five aircraft carriers to South China Sea

At the opening ceremony of the Philippines 16th National Convention of Lawyers last week, President Rodrigo Duterte said the Washington had failed to take decisive action against China in the South China Sea and he asked why U.S. did not send five aircraft carriers to the area and “cut the problem in the bud.”

“Bakit hindi mo pinuntahan doon? Bakit hindi mo sinita? Bakit hindi ka nagpadala ng limang aircraft carrier at kinasahan mo and you had to wait for the problem to ripen into international issue involving this time so many countries.”
