Yemen unveils another SA-2 derived surface-to-surface ballistic missile

Yemen’s rebels carried out a ballistic missile attack against Saudi Arabia on Mar. 28 in an attempt to saturate the Patriot air defense systems protecting the cities of Abha and Khamis Mushayt.

They subsequently published a video showing the attack being carried out by a new modified SA-2 missile dubbed Qaher-M2.

Previously, they had modified that surface-to-air missile into a ground attack guided weapon and called it the Qaher-M1. The Qaher-M2 is claimed to have a larger warhead and greater range than the first iteration of Qaher.
