Taiwan welcomes the sale of F-35s

An official from Taiwan told the Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee that the island welcomes the sale of F-35s but so far, there has been no official word from Washington regarding the issue.

Department of Strategic Planning Director Wu Pao-kun was responding to questions from lawmakers over a report by Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun on Apr. 2 that the stealth fighter is being cleared for sale.
