RNZAF NH90 fleet slapped with flying restrictions following engine failure

The Royal New Zealand Air Force has restricted its NH90 pilots from flying over water, in the mountains and over populated areas after one of the rotorcraft had an inflight engine failure on Apr. 16.

The aircraft, with nine on board, was about to go feet wet over Cloudy Bay when the engine died and the crew diverted to a private airfield near Blenheim for an emergency landing.
