Fewer restrictions for RNZAF NH90s

The Royal New Zealand Air Force has decided to ease the flight restrictions placed on its NH90 transport helicopter fleet following an investigation into an in-flight engine failure last month.

Chief of Air Force Air Vice-Marshal Tony Davies said on May 8 that the findings have given the service “confidence the aircraft can be operated safely following a similar engine failure.”

However, restrictions are in place when the rotorcraft is operating at its upper weight limits.
