Boeing’s complaint on CSeries backfires, Canada threatens cancellation of Super Hornet order

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is upset over Boeing’s attempt to have the U.S. government investigate Bombardier’s sale of CSeries jetliners to Delta airline and has hinted that the Super Hornet deal might be canceled.

Boeing had told lawmakers that Bombardier is dumping the airliners in the U.S. markets thanks to steep subsidies from the Canadian government.

Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland retaliated after the hearing by issuing a statement saying that the Canadian government was “reviewing current military procurement that relates to Boeing.”
