Ex-USS Independence to arrive in Texas on May 30

Former U.S. Navy conventional-powered aircraft carrier USS Independence will be arriving at Port of Brownsville, Texas on May 30.

The vessel will then be broken up for scrap by International Shipbreaking.

  1. She was the fourth and final member of the Forrestal class of conventionally powered supercarriers. Its very sad to see her go.
