Nimitz CSG to be deployed in Western Pacific, joining Carl Vinson and Regan CSGs

The Pentagon has decided not to dispatch the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) to the Middle East and the ships will be deployed in the Western Pacific instead.

It will join the Carl Vinson and Ronald Regan CSGs in the area. Rarely has the Pacific Fleet deployed three aircraft carriers in the western Pacific simultaneously.
