USAF wants to upgrade 841 F-16C/Ds to 13,856 airframe hours

The U.S. Air Force has decided that 841 of its F-16C/D fighters will undergo the service-life extension program (SLEP) that will extend each jet’s structural service life from 8,000 to 13,856 hours.

Previously, the flying branch was looking at upgrading 300 jets to 12,000 hours.
