Taiwan to ramp up production of Wan Chien standoff weapon

Up Media from Taiwan said in an exclusive report that Taipei intents to ramp up the production of the Wan Chien standoff weapon carried by the IDF fighter.

The report said Taiwan made the decision after the recent Han Kung wargames concluded that the Wan Chien is necessary to keep Chinese military forces at bay.

Production of the Wan Chien was curtailed under former President Ma Ying-jeou. The production was cut to less than 100 weapons. The new government intents to restore the production to above 100 weapons.

Meanwhile, it will also be upgrade to increase its range and have better electronic countermeasures.
