Grounding of F-35As at Luke AFB lifted

F-35As grounded at Luke Air Force Base have resumed flying on Jun. 21. The 11-day pause was imposed after five physiological events occurred during flights from May 2-Jun. 8.

The lifting of the ban came with restrictions. The aircraft is not allowed to fly at altitudes in which all five physiological events occurred. Pilots are also given the option to carry sensors on board flights to measure human performance metrics.
