Lt Col Josias Mashaba said the jet will use its Rafael Litening III targeting pod to scan the area at night and direct wildlife rangers to the poachers’ camps.
The Gripens are not being utilized solely for such missions and are tasked with other duties as well.
We want to acquire a new Shuttle, to search a larger area for Longhorns, from higher up.
