USAF squadron stood up after 70 years of inactivity; will teach the F-35A weapons instructor course

A U.S. Air Force squadron that has been inactive since February 1947 was stood up at Nellis Air Force Base on Jun. 20 as the 6th Weapons Squadron.

It will serve as the home for the F-35A under the Weapons School. Eventually, it will get 30 instructors and 24 aircraft.
