Thai PM defends T-50TH deal

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has been forced to defend a deal to buy eight more KAI T-50TH advanced jet trainers from South Korea.

His government has come under criticisms for splurging taxpayers’ money on the deal which is worth $260 million.

One of the critics, Srisuwan Janya, secretary-general of the Association to Protect the Thai Constitution, said he plans to challenge the purchase in court unless the government delays the process.
