JASSM-ER getting a new wing

The U.S. Air Force has given $37.7 million to Lockheed Martin for the “continued development of a new wing design for the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile – Extended Range (JASSM-ER)”, the company’s press release said.

The new wing, analysis which began in March 2016, will further increase the range of the missile and will be incorporated into production lot 17.
