U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps in joint training with JASDF counterpart

American F-15Cs and F/A-18s based in Japan have traveled to other air bases in the country to exercise with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force this month.

VMFA-232 is at JASDF Hyakuri Air Base for simulated air-to-air combat flights with Japanese F-4s while F-15s from Kadena flew to Misawa for training with JASDF F-2s.

The press release from the USMC says flight scenarios such as basic fighter maneuvers, section engaged maneuvers, active air defense and air interdictions were flown.
