South Korea wants Reagan CSG to participate in drills this month

The South Korean government has requested the presence of a U.S. Navy carrier strike group (CSG) for the Ulchi Freedom Guardian exercise that starts on Aug. 21.

An anonymous source was quoted as saying that the Pentagon is considering the dispatch of Reagan CSG to the Korean peninsular.
