USMC plans MV-22 night flying missions during joint drills with JGSDF in Hokkaido

The Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) is planning to hold drills with the U.S. Marine Corps in Hokkaido this month from the 10th till 28th.


Six USMC MV-22s are participating in this drill and local media reports that the Ospreys might carry out night missions in this exercise.

This will mark the first time the night flying of the Osprey is featured in a joint drill with Japan.
