RTAF officers will have to man the counters if there is a shortage of immigration officers to fulfill the task.

On Aug. 5, visitors arriving at Don Mueang airport had to wait up to four hours to clear immigration due to a shortage of staff.

National police chief Chakthip Chaijinda had explained to the Prime Minister that a shortage of staff is partly because some female officers are seconded to other police offices to assist high-ranking officers.
