Last joint mission for Luftwaffe Tornado and Holloman F-16

The Luftwaffe Tornado detachment at Holloman Air Force Base is winding down its operations there and a final joint mission with Holloman’s F-16 unit is flown on Aug. 17.

RAM Block 2B upgrade will allow missiles to talk to each other

The RIM-116C Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Block 2B upgrade will introduce an upgraded seeker and missile-to-missile link (MML) capability, Jane’s reported.

B-1Bs train with JASDF F-15s near Senkaku Islands

B-1B bombers from the 37th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron flew joint missions with Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15s in the vicinity of the Senkaku Islands, Aug. 15. The Senkaku Islands are a group of uninhabited islands controlled by Japan but claimed by Republic and People’s Republic of China.
