Trump picks former E-2 pilot to lead NASA

U.S. President Donald Trump has picked Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma – a former U.S. Navy E-2 pilot – to be the next Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Bridenstine’s nomination for the post is facing opposition from Florida’s two senators – Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson. Both men believe the administrator should not have any political background.
