The Trump adminstration has notified the U.S. Congress on on Sept. 11 for a potential sale of 18 Boeing F/A-18E/F fighters to Canada.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said under Transmittal No: 17-49 that Canada is cleared for 10 F/A-18Es and 8 F/A-18Fs. A total of 44 F414-GE-400 engines are included in the package.
Canada will arm these jets with 100 AIM-9X-2 Sidewinder Block II missiles.
