The jet, # C340, had made a forced landing in Namibia back in 1988, after running low on fuel. The pilot had become disorientated while on a ferry flight.

According to DefenceWeb, a Angolan Il-76 arrived at Waterkloof air base to bring back the jet on Sept. 15.
