Civilians hurt during airstrike in Afghanistan

A missile malfunctioned during an airstrike near the international airport in Kabu, Afghanistan on Sept. 27, injuring an unspecific number of civilians.

The airstrike was called in response to an attack by insurgents against the airport.

Resolute Support says “it deeply regrets the harm to noncombatants.” An investigation has begun.
