Australia announced on Oct. 3 that it has decided to equip its nine Future Frigates with the Aegis Combat Management System.

These ships – to be build in the next decade – will have an Australian tactical interface, which will be developed by SAAB Australia. It will also have an Australian designed and built CEA phased array radar.
Canberra has previously selected the Aegis for its new Air Warfare Destroyers as well.
