A Things Falling Off Aircraft (TFOA) incident took place on May 5 in Japan when a missile fin became detached during the scramble of a F-15J from Chitoseon air base.

Saudi Arabia agrees to buy S-400

A Saudi television station announced on Oct. 5 that the Middle East Kingdom has agreed to buy the S-400 air defense missile system from Russia.

Another defense contractor bought surplus Mirage F1s for aggressor role

USAF sending one F-35A to Eielson AFB for testing
