USAF overhauling the ALCS

The U.S. Air Force has selected both Lockheed Martin and Rockwell Collins for the upgrade of the Airborne Launch Control System (ALCS). The ALCS allows the U.S. Navy’s E-6B to launch ground-based intercontinental ballistic missiles via radio.

USAF gradates the 500th F-35 pilot

Eglin Air Force Base has trained and graduated the 500th F-35 pilot on Sept. 19. Maj. Chris Campbell was previously a F-16 test pilot before he converted to the F-35 at the 33rd Fighter Wing this summer.
