Raytheon unveils Stryker-mounted Stinger missile

Raytheon has proposed to mount the Stinger missile into a Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station and integrate it on the Stryker armored fighting vehicle. This is to meet the U.S. Army’s urgent need for mobile air defense to protect ground troops, the company said.

The Army tested the configuration at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico last month, successfully intercepting several airborne targets.
