Greek Defense Minister says F-16V upgrade will be $1.3 billion max

The Greek government had to fend off criticism on a plan to upgrade 123 F-16s to the V configuration.

The U.S. government had announced that the upgrade will cost up to $2.404 billion but Defense Minister Panos Kammenos explained that the budget ceiling for the program is only $1.3 billion and the “rest relates to subsidy packages and offsets.”
