Five TC-90s that Japan has leased to Philippines will be transferred to the South East Asian nation free of charge, Tokyo announced on Oct. 25.

They were initially leased to the Philippines but a recent change to law will allow Japan to donate secondhand defense equipment to developing countries.
Two TC-90s are already in the country and three more are to arrive by next March.
