HST Carrier Strike Group conducts live-fire exercise

The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (CSG) carried out multiple live-fire exercises Nov. 1 in the Atlantic Ocean to prepare sailors for future operations.

Observers from John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory were around to observe the test-firing of air defense missiles as the carrier conducted the exercise using just radar data provided from USS Normandy.
