Europrop warned Airbus on dangers of accidental data wipe

Europrop had warned Airbus that data needed to run its TP400-D6 engine smoothly could be accidentally wiped, seven months before the fatal crash of a A400M in May 2015.

Spanish accident investigators had concluded this summer that data needed to run the engines were erased during an upload carried out by Airbus workers on the ground. Three of the A400M’s engines failed after take-off.
