F-35As said to have been deployed to South Korea

Media reports from South Korean news outlets say the F-35A has been deployed to South Korea on Dec. 3. One day after six F-22s arrive at Gwangju Air Base.

EA-18Gs are also said to have arrived in the peninsular and the U.S. military aircraft are taking part in exercise Vigilant Ace which begins today.

  1. The F-22s are detached from the 3rd Wing at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska (3,900 miles away) and the F-35B local transit from MCAS Iwakuni, Japan (300 miles away) VMFA-121.
