AV-8Bs, F/A-18s at Shaw AFB for BFM with F-16s, F-22s and T-38s

Fighter pilots from the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy took part in a basic fighter maneuver training exercise at Shaw Air Force Base on Dec. 1.

F-22s from Tyndall AFB, Florida, F/A-18 Hornets assigned to NAS Oceana, Virginia; AV-8Bs assigned to MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina; and T-38Cs from Columbus AFB, Mississippi joined Shaw’s F-16s for this annual training drill.

Capt. August Derosa, 49th Fighter Training Squadron instructor pilot, said it was a great experience for him as the squadron seldom had the opportunity to participate in these training.
