F-22 damaged during touch-and-go nearing end of six-year repair job

A F-22, # 02-4037, was badly damaged when it failed to lift off during a touch-and-go at Tyndall Air Force base in 2012. The jet will soon be servicable again next March after a six-year repair job.

Details on the repair effort were disclosed at the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program conference in Florida recently.
