BAE Systems given contract to modify Mk 38 Mod 2 with C-UAS capability

The U.S. Navy has given BAE Systems a sole source contract to add a counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) capability to the Mk 38 Mod 2 Machine Gun System (MGS).

Under the terms of the contract, the company has to develop and manufacture four C-UAS kits and test them at navy test ranges. Dead line for this is Mar. 31, 2019.
