U.S. reported to be asking for $1.62 billion to upgrade HAF’s F-16s

Greek daily Kathimerini reports that Washington is asking Athens to pay $1.62 billion in order to upgrade 85 F-16s to Block 70 standard.

This is more than the $1.1 billion Greek Prime Minster Alexis Tsipras had quoted. Anonymous sources say both sides will likely agree on $1.5 billion. The letter of offer from United States expires at the end of next month.
