The new missile has a range of 1,000km and can strike deep inside China. Engineers have successfully miniaturized components to free up space for extra fuel and improve the efficient of its engine.

Three options are being considered. First is to upgrade existing missiles to match the new range. Second option will be a mix of existing and up-ranged missiles while the last option is to produce new missiles.
