USS Wasp makes port call in Hawaii as the ship sails towards Japan

USS Wasp arrived in Hawaii on Dec. 28 to make a port call. The ship is making its way to Japan to replace USS Bonhomme Richard as the 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed amphibious assault ship.

The LHD has been at sea for 3 months since departing Norfolk on Aug. 30.
